In 2021, it was an honor for our country to have the opportunity and host the MTV Europe Music Awards gala in front of a live audience, while during the previous year a virtual show was only available for the viewers. The show has grown into one of the biggest and most prestigious awards since its launch in 1994, so there is absolutely no surprise countries are almost competing for the hosting of the global event year by year.
The MTV EMA took place in Budapesten, at the Papp László Budapest Sports Arena where many world-famous celebrities appeared to accept or present the awards. Morever the popular figures of the Hungarian influencer world also took part in this huge event.
Goal
Promote and present the MTV EMA event to the Hungarian audience, involving creators who are authentic representatives of the music event.
Approach
ViacomCBS entrusted the Star Network Influencer Agency with the coordination and organization of the appearance of popular Hungarian creators and celebrities and all the contents they shared in order to promote the event. During the campaign, our agency managed nearly 60 influencer posts / videos in just two weeks that were published on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
Results
During the campaign we achieved several projects, not only the European Music Awards gala, but other large-scale events related to the Music Awards as well, such as the World Stage concerts, the rural concert series within the Music Week and the promotion by the creators of the prize game for the music gala. A total of nearly 1 million engagements were made on Instagram, while two videos advertising the MTV EMA dance challenge on TikTok reached 340,000 viewers.
